Central Plaza

Strategically located opposite People’s Square in Shanghai’s central business district, Central Plaza is a 19-storey grade A office tower above a 3-level food and beverage podium and 2-storey basement, in close proximity to the city’s main rail interchange and many of the city’s key expressways. Central Plaza comprises some 47,000 sqm of GFA including 33,000 sqm of office, 8,000 sqm of retail and 6,000 sqm of basement car parking.

Central Plaza has recently been the beneficiary of a two-year comprehensive renovation and refurbishment programme of all common office and retail areas, the central atrium and drop-off zones, the external podium façade and surrounding landscape. The renovation design was undertaken by Aedas Architects.

The ideal location combined with a newly refurbished environment have now underscored Central Plaza as a prime location for corporate office headquarters, whilst the retail podium has attracted a significant number of high profile food and beverage operators to the building. This is reflected in the building’s year-end occupancy of more than 97% and is now home to high calibre tenants such as MetLife Insurance, Boston Consulting Group, Prudential Insurance, Tristate and the Shanghai administrative offices of global retailer H&M.
