On 26 February 2013, Forterra was formally launched as the new corporate name and
brand identity. It continues to utilize the existing SGX ticker code of “LG2U” and a new
abbreviation “ForterraTr” is the new public face of the trust via SGX-Net.
“Forterra”, inspired by the Latin words “Fortis”, meaning “strength”, and “Terra”, meaning
“land” and “earth”, provides the link to our core real estate operations and reinforces
Forterra’s position as a solid, and reliable player in owning, managing and developing
commercial real estate in China. The logotype uses a simple, weighty graphic style
to reinforce this message of strength and solidity, whilst the accent rising upwards
from the third “r” is a subtle reference to our characteristic flair and vision. As a whole,
the Forterra brand showcases our strong and unqualified commitment to delivering
international quality commercial real estate to the China market and complements our
ambitions for the emerging and exciting dynamics of China’s burgeoning retail sector.
