Allstate’s commitment to improving local communities is central to our vision of bringing out the good in people’s lives.

Our team rallies around a shared mission to improve the lives of our customers and communities. After all, our business is focused on people and the communities where they live. We’re a fundamental part of people’s lives, whether we provide insurance coverage to protect people from life’s uncertainties or financial services to help prepare them for a secure future. Our strong connection to customers and communities informs our desire to give back in areas where we can have a positive social impact, from volunteering and donations to our business and environmental practices.

Allstate’s focus on responsible business practices strengthens our supply chain while helping us meet the changing needs and expectations of our customers and communities. For example, we hold an annual Supplier Diversity Exchange to create opportunities for minority-, women-, LGBT- and veteran-owned businesses to competitively bid for contracts with Allstate and Allstate's major suppliers. Furthermore, we require our suppliers to adhere to the same strict standards we set for ourselves. In 2013, we further broadened our “supplier” outreach by launching a program to invest with smaller private equity and private real estate equity asset managers, with a focus on minority- and women-owned firms.
