AJILE Study- Rationale

Acute PAO (leg) poses significant risk to life and limb. Typical treatment is thrombolysis, but with limitations:

• Lengthy infusion= $$

• Bleeding

• Lysis not suitable for patients with profound ischemia that require URGENT treatment

• ~20% of patients have contraindications
