Hypothesis: In patients with acute MI, prompt removal of thrombus with AngioJet may result in preserved heart tissue and a smaller infarct size.
Design: multicenter, randomized trial (AngioJet vs ‘no AngioJet’), 468 patients at 30 centers in US
Endpoints: final infarct size (nuclear scan), secondary endpoints include angiographic, ECG, doppler flow
