The Caraustar Recovered Paperboard Cycle

 Caraustar's collected recovered fiber goes to our mills for the manufacture of recycled paperboard and gypsum wallboard facing paper. The recycled paperboard, produced as rolls or cut into sheets, is utilized by our converting plants and is also sold to external customers for the production of folding cartons; tubes, cores and composite containers; and other specialty and converted products. Some of the end-use markets for Caraustar's converted recycled paperboard products include the food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, carpet, film, textile, automotive, hardware and sporting goods industries, primarily for retail and industrial products. The company's gypsum wallboard facing paper is used by its two joint venture gypsum wallboard manufacturing facilities and is also sold externally to wallboard manufacturers.
Post-industrial packaging fiber is again recovered, and the cycle continues.
