Caraustar Industries, Inc. is one of the largest and lowest-cost manufacturers of recycled paperboard and converted paperboard products in the United States. Caraustar operates 102 facilities in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom, including 15 paperboard mills, 39 tube, core and composite container plants, 25 carton and specialty packaging plants and 9 recovered fiber facilities.

The Company consists of four operational groups: Mill Group, Custom Packaging Group, Industrial & Consumer Products Group and Recovered Fiber Group. Serving four principal markets – tubes, cores and composite containers; folding cartons; gypsum wallboard facing paper and “other specialty” products – Caraustar is the only major producer of recycled paperboard in all four of these markets.

Each of Caraustar’s mills has the capability to manufacture paperboard for at least two of the four primary markets. This flexibility has been a fundamental component of the Company’s ability to operate at high capacity utilization levels while maintaining cost efficiencies and high operating margins.
