FURTHERMORE, WE ACHIEVED SEVERAL POSITIVE RESULTS THAT I BELIEVE NEED TO BE EMPHASIZED TO GIVE YOU A FLAVOR FOR WHAT OUR COMPANY CAN ACCOMPLISH IN GEOGRAPHIC ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENTS THAT ARE SLIGHTLY MORE FAVORABLE THAN WHAT WE EXPERIENCED IN EUROPE AND NORTH AMERICA. THESE INCLUDED, FOR INSTANCE, SALES VOLUME GROWTH OF 15.7 PERCENT IN OUR ASIA/PACIFIC REGION AND 6.2 PERCENT IN LATIN AMERICA. ALTHOUGH THEY CURRENTLY REFLECT A SMALLER PORTION OF THE WHOLE, THESE REGIONS REPRESENT A SIGNIFICANT PART OF OUR FUTURE ORGANIC GROWTH POTENTIAL.
TODAY, APPROXIMATELY 60 PERCENT OF H.B. FULLER EMPLOYEES ARE OUTSIDE OF THE U.S. AND WE BELIEVE THAT THIS TREND WILL CONTINUE. OUR GLOBAL FOOTPRINT, OUR ABILITY TO IDENTIFY, CAPITALIZE ON AND EXPLOIT SUCH KEY OPPORTUNITIES IS CRITICAL TO OUR FUTURE SUCCESS.
