Moody’s KMV (“MKMV”) is Moody’s main brand extension effort; it has a leadership position in quantitative credit assessment products with the world’s largest financial institutions: banks, non-bank financial institutions and asset managers. MKMV is also a leader in commercial loan decision support systems for banks.
Formed from acquisition of two software companies in 1995 and 2000 and acquisition of KMV in April 2002. MKMV has ~150 large financial institution customers for its high-end default probability product, credit portfolio systems and loan pricing systems. It has 1,500 customers for its commercial loan decision support systems. MKMV has complementary product and market positions with many cross-selling opportunities.
Long-term revenue growth target ~15%.
