Dept. of Education recently released 80% of third year Reading First funds to states – another $1.0 billion



• Reading First funds will be a factor in 2005
• Another $90 million in grants just awarded for third year of Early Reading First program

We expect more funding for fourth year of NCLB when Congress passes FY2005 budget after November elections
