Bookshester was elected to the Company's Board of Directors in 1990. He currently serves as the acting chief executive officer of Fruit of the Loom, Inc. as well as chairman of the Cutanix Corporation, a company involved in scientific skin research, since November 1997. Prior to his current position, he was an independent business consultant. From December 1990 to May 1991, Bookshester served as chief executive officer of Zale Corporation, a retail jewelry company. Bookshester was corporate vice chairman, chairman and CEO of Carson Pirie Scott & Co.'s retail group, positions he held from 1984 to 1989.

Bookshester, 61, is also a director of Fruit of the Loom, Inc. and the Elder Beerman Company. He is a member of the Visiting Committee of the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.
