Symbol has (under one roof) the ability to deliver WLAN access points (radio receiver / transmitters), handheld and wearable computing devices equipped with WLAN radios and aggressive laser-based scan engines, and wireless network systems services, all of which provide a complete mobile enterprise fabric for our customers … one stop shopping !

In fact, we can manage in parallel bluetooth and IEEE 802.11 wireless connectivity, while avoiding interference issues.

Customers include Sears, which has deployed AirBeam Smart Client software in 15,000 wireless Palm-based devices so that future operating system upgrades can be facilitated through the wireless network without interrupting ongoing business operations.

At the NYSE, Symbol provides the backbone for wireless trading.

The European PGA uses our Spectrum24 network to keep tack of scoring.

For other customers (e.g., FedEx Ground, Qualcomm, Office Depot and UPS) Symbol has deployed converged local-area and wide-area solutions in their fleets.
