Toys

Powerhouse brands meet product innovation when it comes to our toys. With strong new licenses signed in 2003, and the recent Play Along acquisition, we are poised for growth in our traditional toys area for the upcoming year and beyond.

We have a roster of robust licenses, including World Wrestling Entertainment™, NASCAR®, the Dragon Ball® franchise, ¡Mucha Lucha!™ and Universal Studios’ Monsters, Care Bears®, Cabbage Patch Kids® and Justice League of America®.

WWE™ sales have been a consistent contributor to JAKKS Pacific’s sales. To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Wrestlemania®, we produced a collectible action figure assortment of WWE Superstars from the past to the present that epitomizes wrestling greatness and appeals to our key WWE consumer base. We continue to cycle fresh assortments into retail frequently, and work with all retailers on exclusive programs throughout the year.

In 2003, we launched toy lines for the Dragon Ball franchise and introduced articulated dragons for the first time in the franchise’s history, as well as our new Chibis™, based on a popular Japanese sculpt-type.

We launched a new line of action figures and radio control vehicles based on NASCAR’s top drivers, including Jeff Gordon® and Tony Stewart®; we continue to market a line of IR Racers with infrared features based on current and classic car brands; and our MXS® line of motocross bikes and action figures featuring Ricky Carmichael and other top riders has been a solid seller for the past four years.
