Douglas A. Milroy
Chief Executive Officer and Director

In May 2009, Doug Milroy was appointed to serve as G&K Services, Inc.’s chief executive officer, at which point he was also added to the company’s board of directors. In these roles, Mr. Milroy leverages more than 20 years of strong business-to-business experience and global leadership expertise. He also brings a proven track record for driving increasing operating execution, productivity and growth. Mr. Milroy was previously responsible for managing G&K’s direct purchase and business development initiatives. He also led the company’s Cleanroom business, an innovative business unit that offered highly specialized services and contamination-free products to customers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, microelectronic and automotive industries.

Previously, Mr. Milroy was vice president and general manager, food and beverage North America and water care, for Ecolab Inc., a worldwide provider of products and services to the hospitality, foodservice, healthcare, and industrial markets. In this role, he had responsibility for all aspects of the food and beverage North America division and water care division, including improving profitability, implementing growth strategies, increasing customer retention, and creating new technology platforms. Prior to Ecolab, he was managing director for the process additives division of FMC Corporation, a worldwide chemical company, and chairman of FMC UK Ltd., and had worldwide responsibility for all business functions. Mr. Milroy was also with McKinsey & Company, a management consulting firm. At McKinsey, Mr. Milroy worked with senior management of industrial companies in North America and Europe to define profitable growth strategies and organizational plans.

Mr. Milroy earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and his M.B.A. from The Harvard Business School. He is also active in the community, especially supporting inner-city education. Mr. Milroy also serves as a board member for JSJ Corporation, a privately-held company that actively designs, develops, markets, and brands a group of durable goods and services throughout the world.
