Goodrich operates in three main market channels:
Commercial & General Aviation
Original Equipment
A Goodrich nacelle system enables quiet efficiency on the new
Pratt & Whitney PurePower® PW1000G engine.
While new orders for commercial aircraft softened in 2009, order backlogs continue to represent years of future production. Goodrich has significant positions on the most popular airliners in service like the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG, as well as aircraft in development such as the Airbus A350 XWB, Boeing 787, and Bombardier CSeries and Mitsubishi MRJ that use the new PW1000G engine. Our technology allows our customers to deliver clean, quiet efficient air transport today and in the future.
"The new 787 Dreamliner is a game changer, and we've sold more
than 800 of them to 56 airlines.
As a Tier 1 partner on the 787
program, Goodrich is a key player
in our success."

Aftermarket
A technician at Goodrich's Singapore MRO campus inputs V2500 engine repair data from an Airbus A320 into a hand-held wireless controller.
Goodrich product positions on the most popular, more efficient aircraft helped cushion a downturn in aftermarket sales, even as the worldwide recession led to a significant decline in the demand for air travel along with less need for aircraft replacement parts and services. As airlines continued to reduce capacity, we carefully invested in emerging markets like Asia and Latin America. From Singapore to Brazil, we work to improve our processes and technology, making us ready for the aftermarket business cycle recovery.
"Goodrich and TAM have experienced many years working together. This relationship has been improved strongly in 2009, since Goodrich has become the very first company to start carrying maintenance activities as an independent company inside TAM Technological Center area, in São Carlos, Brazil."
Ruy Amparo
TAM Vice President of MRO
(Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul)
Defense and Space
Goodrich is building the first Operationally Responsive Space satellite to deliver real-time actionable data to the warfighter.
With the market for military
helicopter upgrades and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capability remaining steady in an uncertain world, Goodrich saw strong growth in 2009 in the defense and space market sector. From space to air, sea and land, our exceptional delivery performance on long-term defense programs provides a solid foundation for building this part of the business. Strategic acquisitions that enhance our defense capabilities position us for future growth.
"Our mission is to provide soldiers with equipment they can depend upon. Goodrich understands and shares that mission; with every product they demonstrate their critical role in protecting our nation."
