  ALLTEL's seven-year agreement with Frontier Cellular demonstrates our ability to combine successfully our professional services with our full outsourcing solutions. We will provide support in bill processing, remote outsourcing and disaster recovery, helping Frontier Cellular grow its market share and increase profitability.

  ALLTEL's $200 million contract with Hughes Ispat Ltd. (HIL) in India clearly shows how we can draw on our joint telecommunications and information services expertise to help start-up service providers worldwide. As one of three principal partners contracted to build and operate a state-of-the-art wireless local loop for Mumbai and the surrounding state of Maharashtra, ALLTEL is providing business process consulting services and long-term outsourcing of information technology, including centralized bill production.

   The centerpiece of the new Indian service, which is projected to have more than 2.5 million customers, is a component of ALLTEL's product solution suite, a suite currently used by ALLTEL, Frontier Cellular, Piltel, BellSouth Cellular and others for their wireless operations. This business solution will allow HIL to keep pace with the projected rapid growth of its new telephone system in Mumbai and concentrate on capturing and increasing its market share.
