Midcontinent/Gulf Coast
Duke Energy moved forward with natural gas and power assets along the Gulf Coast and completed or announced acquisitions stretching from the Gulf Coast to the Rockies:
- Completed several acquisitions and entered into an agreement for an additional acquisition to expand Field Services' gathering pipeline systems by 8,700 miles and processing capabilities by 2.7 Bcf/d;
- Placed into service Dauphin Island Gathering System with combined capacity of 600 MMcf/d;
- Began construction of 600 MMcf/d Mobile Bay Processing Plant, and associated 40 MW Mobile Bay Cogeneration Facility; and
- Moved ahead with plans to develop the 510 MW Hidalgo Power Plant in South Texas, to be designed and constructed by Duke/Fluor Daniel.
