1Operating profits increases
94%
Operating profit before goodwill and exceptional items increased by 94% over the comparable period to £371 million. Sky continues to benefit from strong operational gearing.
2Increase in revenues
Total revenue increased by 15% in the year to £3,186 million. Revenue now exceeds £3 billion for the first time. This increase was driven by further strong DTH revenue growth and continued growth in advertising and interactive revenues.
3Positive earnings
Profit after tax was £190 million, the Group's first full year of positive earnings since the launch of Sky digital. Sky is now looking forward to delivering increasing returns on the substantial investment made in digital television.
