On September 9, 2002,
the landmark merger between Ameritrade and Datek was completed, creating
the leading broker for online equity trades per day. Our goal is to combine
the best of both Ameritrade and Datek, to create something even better
for our Clients, Shareholders and Associates.
As a client there is nothing you need to do.
You can continue to trade just as you do today, with no change to the
Ameritrade Web site, login, or trading process. We have planned carefully
to make the transition as easy and convenient as possible for you as we
combine the best of our two companies.

Many of you have been participating in our Client Advisory Group, and
we appreciate the helpful feedback and great ideas you have given us.
Thanks to all of you. We will be reporting on what we have learned, and
implementing many of these requests in the months ahead.
