William Russell Kelly opens a service bureau to meet the office clerical needs of Detroit-area businesses.

1953 Sales exceed $1 million.

First branch office opens in Louisville, Kentucky.

1957 [ image ] Company is renamed Kelly Girl Service, Inc.
1962

Company becomes publicly owned; stock is traded over-the-counter.

1965 Branch office opens in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
1966 Company changes name to Kelly Services, Inc.
1967 Terence E. Adderley elected President.
1968 First international office opens in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Kelly Services, Ltd. formed.
1972 First European office opens in Paris, France.
1973 Office opens in London, England.

Sales exceed $100 million.
1976 Acquires Home Care, Inc.
