Michael Newman joined RadioShack Corporation in May 2001 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He has a solid foundation in business processes, systems, supply chain management and customer relations.

Prior to joining RadioShack Corporation, Newman was vice president and chief financial officer for Intimate Brands, which includes retail, catalog and Internet operations for Victoria's Secret, Victoria's Secret Direct, Bath and Body Works, Intimate Beauty Corporation, and White Barn Candle.

He spent the first 18 years of his career with General Electric, starting in the GE Financial Management Program and holding progressive financial management positions, both in the U.S. and abroad.

Newman then joined Hussmann International, the world's leading manufacturer of refrigerated display equipment and now part of Ingersoll Rand. As vice president and chief financial officer at Hussmann International, he oversaw all financial functions, led the company's initial public offering, and successfully completed the company's sale to Ingersoll Rand.

He holds a degree in economics from Amherst College.
