Founded in 1950, Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc., a Fortune 500 company listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 1970, is the nation’s largest producer of recreational vehicles and a leading builder and retailer of manufactured housing. Headquartered in Riverside, California, the Company employs about 21,000 people throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Fleetwood manufactures a wide variety of RV products that includes motor homes, travel trailers, folding camping trailers and slide-in truck campers. The Company’s RV products are designed to enhance the enjoyment of outdoor recreation, vacations, extended travel and other leisure activities.


Fleetwood has become one of the nation’s largest home builders by providing quality factory-built homes at affordable prices. Through its extensive retail operations, the Company is working to enhance the home buying experience by making manufactured homes "easy to buy and a pleasure to own."

Through its supply operations, the Company provides fiberglass components and lumber products to its core businesses, and also manufactures a diverse array of products for outside customers.

Fleetwood is the largest recreational vehicle company in the world and markets its products through approximately 1,200 independent retailers in the U.S. and Canada.

In fiscal 2000 the RV group:

  • Generated record revenues of $1.91 billion.
  • Was the retail market share leader in motor homes, travel trailers and folding trailers.
  • Ranked No.1 in retail market share in 24 of the top 25 states, which account for more than 80 percent of total U.S. RV sales.
  • Operated 18 factories in nine states and Canada

Fleetwood is one of the nation’s largest builders of manufactured homes and markets its homes through approximately 1,400 locations nationwide, 243 of which are Company-owned.

In fiscal 2000 the manufactured housing group:

  • Generated combined wholesale and retail revenues of $1.75 billion.
  • Was the retail market share leader.
  • Ranked second in wholesale market share.
  • Operated 39 factories in 15 states.
