The
speaker started the presentation, but I cannot hear any streaming audio.
Why not?
- Do
you have your speakers or headphones connected?
- Is
your computer volume turned up?
- Is
your speaker or headphone volume turned up?
- Is
your Real Media or Windows Media player installed? (You should see the
media graphic on the left side beneath the photo or speaker title. If
there is a broken image there, your selected player is not installed.)
If your selected media player is not installed, try another media player
or conference
- Note
that the streaming audio will be delayed about 25 seconds after the
speaker begins the presentation.

I
am hearing a constant clicking sound. Wny is this happening, and how do
I turn this sound off?
In Windows Media Player version 5.0, every time a new page is displayed
(or a refresh occurs), a sound is automatically played. This product frequently
refreshes, causes the clicking sound. To disable this feature (while still
leaving all other audio features on):
- Go
to Control Panel
- Go
to Sounds
- Scroll
down to Windows Explorer section
- Locate
and click on Start Navigation. You will see an audio icon to
the left.
- Locate
the Namefield. Select None from the drop down menu.

The
slides are not flipping.
This could be caused by a number of things:
- The
communication between the web server and telephony server are breaking
down. This is only a possibility if ALL the audience members are not
seeing the slides flip. If only selected people are seeing this error,
it is likely due to another reason.
- There
is network congestion. If this causes re-buffering, or causes the player
to stop altogether, then slides will not flip. In TalkPoint, the player
status is not shown, so there's no way for the client to report their
buffering problems; however, delays in the audio could occur at the
same time to indicate buffering.

I am still hearing the pre-event music, but
I'm certain that the event has started. In fact, other people are hearing
the live event!
All players may not start at the exact same time. There may be about a 5-15
second differential due to how the information is being routed to each user
via the Internet; however, this anomaly has been known to occur in other
situations.
