System Requirements

Computer/Sound

PC running Microsoft Windows 98/NT/2000/XP with 16+ MB RAM and a sound card with speakers or headphones.
Windows Media Player 6.4 or higher and Real Player 7 or higher.

Internet Connection

Connection to the Internet, either through a modem or a direct connection via your corporate network (LAN).
Minimum modem connection needed is 56 kbps.

Web Browser
Minimum Required
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0+  Netscape 4.61+ 
Recommended
Internet Explorer 6.0
Netscape 4.7+

Webcasting FAQ

  1. I can't hear the audio.
  2. When I attempt to view the webcast my browser locks up.
  3. When I attempt to view the webcast my computer locks up.

I can't hear the audio.

1. Check to see that your speakers are:
  • connected to the correct port on the back of your computer
  • plugged into a power outlet
  • turned on and turned up to a typically audible level

2. Adjust your system volume settings.

  • Click Start ->Settings ->Control Panel.
  • Select Multimedia
  • From the audio tab, select the audio icon and turn up the volume. Verify that the Mute boxes are not checked.
    If the playback audio area is inaccessible it is likely that your system is not configured for sound.

3. Turn up the volume on the media player.

  • Open your media player from your Start menu.
  • Look for the speaker icon and adjust the volume using the slide bar adjacent to the icon.

When I attempt to view the webcast my browser locks up.

If your browser locks up as you attempt to view the webcast, empty your browser's cache
(see answer above for instructions), and then re-launch the webcast.

Try upgrading your Internet Browser to a newer version and/or try installing
a newer version of your media player.

The presentation slides are not flipping.
If you've joined a webcast after it has started, the slides may be out of sync until the next "slide flip" is conducted.
My question isn't showing up in the Q&A frame.
After you submit a question, it is transferred to a moderator who screens all the questions. The moderator then selects questions to answer and posts responses. Once the response has been posted, it takes about 30 seconds before the Q&A frame on your interface refreshes with the newly posted answer.
