In addition, in some cases we provide loans, preferred equity or guarantees to these entities. Our ownership interest in these equity method investments generally varies from 10 to 50 percent. The amount of our consolidated retained earnings that represents undistributed earnings attributable to our equity investments totaled $3 million at year-end 2008.
