Margaret Rice-Jones is Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Global Telecom Solutions Sector in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). She and her team are responsible for successfully executing the Global Telecom Solutions Sector business plan and building strong customer relationships in the EMEA region.
Margaret rejoined Motorola in 2001 as Vice President and Director of Operations for the Global Telecom Solutions Sector in EMEA with more than 15 years experience in the mobile communications market. Her career has encompassed a range of technical and commercial roles.
Prior to returning to Motorola, she was Managing Director of Psion Computers PLC and a Main Board Director of Psion PLC. She also had worked for De La Rue as Deputy MD of its Smartcard businesses.
Before joining De La Rue, Margaret had spent 10 years with Motorola where she was the Director of Product Marketing responsible for all of Motorola's cellular handsets in EMEA.
Margaret was recognised in 2000 by the Global System for Mobile (GSM) communications (GSM) association as one of the initial 100 members on the role of honour for her long-term contributions to the GSM market. She holds an engineering degree from Durham University.
