MILWAUKEE (July 31, 2001)--Brady Corporation (NYSE:BRC), a world leader in identification solutions and precision die-cut materials, today acquired Eset, GmbH, Munich, Germany. Eset has developed nearly 200 Windows printer drivers in conjunction with its label-design software. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition will enhance Brady's position as a leader in label-design software and will allow Brady to offer customers new printer drivers that add more value to their label-design systems.
Eset's signature product, "Label and Form" software, is produced in four languages: German, French, Swedish and English, and is capable of printing directly from SAP and other enterprise resource planning systems without customization. The company also offers simple customization of their pre-packaged software for end users.
"We are pleased to have Eset's people and products joining Brady to further bolster our software and services offerings," said David Schroeder, vice president of Brady Identification Solutions & Specialty Tapes. "Their technical vision and software-development expertise is highly regarded in the German market, and will further strengthen our ability to meet customers' needs for complete identification solutions throughout Europe."
