CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Since its establishment in 2007, the TCT Foundation has undertaken and sponsored a series of charitable activities in China for the benefit of more than 2,500 children from Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing and earthquake-stricken areas of Sichuan Province and Qinghai Province.
The TCT Foundation has also established a formal channel for direct contributions by individuals or businesses, and delivers 100% of funds raised directly to its charitable projects/beneficiaries with no administrative deductions.
In the year 2010, the various initiatives undertaken by the TCT Foundation included the following programs.
• Sponsorship of Half the Sky Foundation’s infant nurture program at the Nanjing Children’s Welfare Institute of Jiangsu Province, which provides nurturing care to about 100 abandoned and orphaned babies.
• Expo Excursion with Loving Care, sponsoring 100 underprivileged chi ldren from Shanghai to experience the World Expo Shanghai 2010.
• Dream Day at the Zoo (participated for the second consecutive year as a key partner), which hosted over 170 underprivileged children as the VIPs for a fun-filled afternoon at the Shanghai Zoo.
• TCT and Friends Education Assistance Program, a three-year initiative in support of 70 Tibetan students (aged 12) from the Yushu earthquake-stricken area.
• TCT Foundation Warm Heart Paint ing Clas s and TCT Foundation Warm Heart Singing and Dancing Class in collaboration with a Chinese NGO and two local artistic schools.
TCT Foundation for the Children of China
The TCT Foundation for the Children of China (TCT Foundation), a registered international charity (Ireland charity number: CHY17897), is the philanthropic arm of Treasury China Trust (TCT) and an integral component of TCT’s strong commitment to the Chinese community.
Mission
To aid and support the education and welfare of children in China so as to make a meaningful contribution to China’s next generation.
