a fundamental component of TCT’s business philosophy
and execution. As Asia’s First Carbon Neutral Real Estate
Company, the sponsor of Ireland’s only charity approved
for operations in China as well as the recently launched
Irish Centre in Shanghai, TCT expl icitly ful f i ls its long-
standing commitment as a responsible corporate citizen.

“Earth Hour 2011”
As a certified Carbon Neutral company, TCT continues to
promote sustainable practices across all aspects of our
business. This year, TCT has proudly become part of the
‘Earth Hour’ to further reduce our carbon footprint and
fulfill our commitment to a sustainable environment.
Wi th st rong endorsements f rom a l l our tenants, at
8:30pm on Saturday 26 March 2011, all properties in the
TCT portfolio showed their support for “Earth Hour”, an
important global energy conservation campaign.
“LEED Silver Certification” for Beijing of fice
TCT’s premises in Bei j ing received formal recogni tion
of “LEED Silver Status” from US Green Building Council
to recognize the energy conservation approach it has
under taken dur ing the f i t out per iod and subsequent
operations.
TCT Foundation for the Children of China
TCT Fou nda t i on f o r t h e Ch i l d r e n o f Ch i n a ( TCT
Foundation) is an integral par t of Treasury China Trust
(TCT)’s corporate social responsibi l ity program. As an
international charity registered in Ireland, TCT Foundation
aims specifically to aid and support the education and
welfare of children in China so as to make a material and
meaningful contribution to China’s next generation. Since
its establishment in 2007, TCT Foundation has undertaken
a series of projects and activities in China, which have
positively influenced the lives of several thousand children
in Shanghai and other areas in China.
In August 2008, TCT Foundation establ ished TCT-SCF
Charitable Fund for Children in partnership with Shanghai
Charity Foundation (SCF) as an important vehicle of its
charitable endeavours in China. TCT Foundation is also a
strategic partner of the AustCham Shanghai CSR Program
2011-2013.
In 2011, major initiatives undertaken by the TCT Foundation
included in the following programs:
• Providing scholarships to 82 pr imar y and middle
school students of low-income fami l ies in Bei j ing’s
Shunyi District.
• “Learning by Doing” Science Education Summer Camp
for migrant chi ldren and chi ldren from low-income
local families in the Nandong Community of Shanghai’s
Huangpu District.
• Children’s Happy Summer Home in the Xinjing Town
of Shanghai’s Changning District attracting over 5000
visits including migrant children.
