The Corporation
provides a diversified range of banking and certain nonbanking financial
services and products through its various subsidiaries. Management
reports the results of the Corporation’s operations through its
major line of business, Supercommunity Banking. Parent Company,
Other Subsidiaries and Eliminations include activities that are
not directly attributable to Supercommunity Banking. Included in
this category are certain nonbanking affiliates, eliminations of
certain intercompany transactions and certain nonrecurring transactions.
Also included are portions of certain assets, capital and support
functions not specifically identifiable with Supercommunity Banking.
The Corporation’s business is conducted solely in the United States.
The accounting
policies of the segment are the same as those described in the “Summary
of Significant Accounting Policies.” The Corporation evaluates performance
based on profit or loss from operations before income taxes.
