NOTE 1 Formation and Business of the Company     The TriZetto Group, Inc. (the "Company"), was incorporated in the state of Delaware on May 27, 1997. The Company is a provider of remotely hosted software applications, both third-party packaged and proprietary software, and related services used primarily in the healthcare industry. The Company also develops and supports software products for the healthcare industry. Additionally, the Company offers an Internet browser application that serves as a portal for the exchange of healthcare information and services over the Internet. The Company provides access to its hosted applications either through the Internet or through traditional networks. The Company markets and sells its software and services to customers primarily in the United States.
