Navistar International returned to the roots of its proud heritage by changing the name of its operating company to International Truck and Engine Corporation

International announced plans to relocate its Chicago World Headquarters to the new Cantera development in Warrenville, Ill. during 2001. Suburban operations in Westbrook and Oakbrook Terrace will also be housed at the new facility, totaling an estimated 1,100 employees


Introduced the bold new International Diamond logo

Its IT group was named one of the “100 Best Places to Work” by Computerworld

Launched new web site -www.greendieseltechnology .com to provide information on diesel emission issues to vehicle owners
