Outlook for 2009

The economic forecast for 2009 is not very encouraging. Our urban and Hispanic customers will face another difficult year. Yet for our business we are unwilling to relent to circumstances. Drivers will still need to purchase auto insurance. It just has to be a good value for their hard-earned dollars. They will find value in flexible coverage and payment options, in prompt, courteous and knowledgeable customer service, preferably in their native language, and when they have auto accidents, in fast and fair claims settlements. And they want it from a company that is financially strong and designed to serve. Infinity can deliver on all of this.

  • We have the financial strength to deliver on our promises. We have an A.M. Best rating of an “A,” or “excellent,” signifying our financial capability to be there for our customers.
  • We keep the price of insurance affordable. With our insistence on efficiency and a low cost infrastructure, we contain expenses so we can pass savings along to our customers.
  • We offer the customer a choice. The customer can select among multiple products that are tailored to meet their specific needs, along with affordable down payments and convenient payment options.
  • We provide prompt service. We have invested over $4 million in new software for customer and claims services to expedite calls to the appropriate area, which improves response time, enhances service and drives down costs.
  • We speak the customer’s language. Literally! We have over 360 bi-lingual employees to handle our over 300,000 Hispanic policyholders. And we just opened a 325 seat call center in McAllen, Texas to expand our capability to serve this important and growing segment of the population.

No business is immune from an economic downturn, but Infinity is well positioned to deliver value for its customers. And for such fair value, customers will gladly pay a fair price. It is a recipe that has worked for us in the past, even in the toughest of economic times.
