11. Rentals and Leases
The
company leases sales and administrative office facilities, distribution
center facilities, automobiles and computers and other equipment
under operating leases. Rental expense under all operating leases
was $60,365,000 in 2001, $55,910,000 in 2000 and $49,164,000 in
1999. As of December 31, 2001, future minimum payments under operating
leases with noncancelable terms in excess of one year, including
lease obligations of Henkel-Ecolab, were:
