Energy Conservation

At Raytheon, we also believe we have a responsibility to conserve natural resources and protect the environment for future generations. Our ENERGY STAR^® Partner of the Year selection by the EPA in 2007 was the second such designation in five years for outstanding energy management practices. Since 2002, the company has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 28 percent adjusted for sales and inflation, an achievement that includes a significant reduction in energy consumption. In 2007, we curbed electricity consumption by approximately 10 percent adjusted for business growth, enough electricity to power some 10,000 homes for a year.
