The company took strides toward unifying mobility by incorporating its device management capabilities into the iPass Mobile Office connectivity service. iPass also released its new Device Protection service powered by Symantec, added support for Windows Vista devices and Cisco Network Admissions Control, and expanded its patch management support.

iPass’ enterprise flat-rate pricing plans help customers manage mobility costs by charging a predictable fee based on only those workers who actively use iPass services in a given month. By year’s end, this pricing model and other fixed or subscription pricing accounted for half of iPass revenues.

Network expansion
