Ladies and gentlemen, Schlumberger revenue has quadrupled over the past 10 years.
Over the same period, our workforce has grown from 51,000 to 120,000 employees, and
our product line count has almost doubled from 8 to 15.
In parallel with this tremendous growth, we have evolved our organization and the way
we work together as a team to create a new platform that we will use to extend our
growth story.
It is rare for us to comment upon the inner workings of our company. We generally prefer
to talk about our technology offering and the value it brings to our customers. However,
I believe it is important for our investors to understand the depth of the corporate
transformation that we are undergoing and the potential it holds in terms of increased
competitive leverage and financial performance.
I remain very confident with respect to the plan we are executing, and I am greatly
encouraged by the capabilities, motivation and ambition of our employees who, all
together, are turning this plan into positive results.
We are now in a great position as a company, and we are actively looking to improve on
this going forward.
