Reaching Out to
CVS Caremark Communities

Whether we are supporting programs that allow children with disabilities to achieve their potential, awarding scholarship support for pharmacy students, or providing aid during natural disasters, CVS Caremark is dedicated to efforts that benefit individuals and communities alike.

Through our signature program, CVS Caremark All Kids Can™, we support nonprofit organizations that focus on helping children with disabilities learn, play, and succeed in life. For example, we help fund Boundless™ playgrounds that enable all children - including those with physical, developmental, cognitive, and sensory disabilities - to experience independent, self-directed play, each at his or her own highest level of ability. Our CVS Caremark All Kids Can Baseball Camp, developed with the Boston Red Sox, gives children with disabilities a chance to participate in on-field activities at Boston's fabled Fenway Park. Through the CVS Caremark Charitable Trust, we award grants to a broad range of community health programs that serve children as well as public school programs for kids with disabilities.

Each year, thousands of our colleagues work hand-in-hand with our nonprofit partners to improve the quality of life in neighborhoods, in classrooms, and for families. One example is the Pathways to Pharmacy program, which introduces disadvantaged youth to career opportunities in pharmacy. In partnership with America's Promise, local schools, and community groups, the program has expanded to 40 cities serving 1,800 students annually.

We encourage you to learn more about our community impact, including our work with Easter Seals and the ALS Therapy Alliance, at www.cvs.com/community.

CVS Caremark colleagues and family members are regular participants in Easter Seals Walk With Me fundraising events around the country, such as this one in Chicago, Illinois. Our colleagues are scheduled to participate in a total of 43 during 2008. There are currently 122 Boundless™ playgrounds in 24 states where children of all abilities can play together. Many more are on the way due in part to financial assistance provided by CVS Caremark.
