Internet Reconfigurable Logic (IRL) Technology

Internet Reconfigurable Logic technology, an important new Xilinx software product, works in conjunction with the Virtex family to significantly enhance our value proposition to customers.

IRL technology enables our customers to extend the lifetime of their products - after those products have been installed - by remotely reconfiguring Xilinx's Virtex chips via the Internet. This capability will dramatically reduce the overall cost of ownership for customers in industries such as telecommunications and networking where standards are constantly evolving and changing.*
