Glenn Hutchins is a founder of
Silver Lake Partners, a leading investment firm
focused on private equity investments in technology
industries and related growth companies. He has
been in the private equity business since 1985 when
he joined the Thomas H. Lee Co. From 1985 to 1994,
Hutchins helped build THL Co. into one of the leading
firms in private equity. During this period, he
also served as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Clinton-Gore
Transition in 1992, and for parts of 1993 and 1994,
Hutchins served as a Special Advisor in the White
House. Upon leaving the White House, he joined The
Blackstone Group as a General Partner. In addition
to serving on the Ameritrade Board, Hutchins currently
serves on the Board of Directors of Gartner Inc.
and Seagate Technology, Inc. He holds degrees from
Harvard University, Harvard Business School and
Harvard Law School. |
