We believe that associate satisfaction leads to customer satisfaction. Handling more than 16 million inquiries in 2004, our customer service team is core to that equation. So when our newest Customer Care Center opens in Bolingbrook, Ill., in 2005, experienced leaders like Aurelia Gomez will bring their customer satisfaction skills to teach new team members how it’s done. Aurelia joined our Tulsa, Okla., call center in 1998 and has been a team coach since 2002. She assumed her new position in Bolingbrook in January 2005.

At U.S. Cellular, we’ve created a culture of winning—for our customers, for our associates and for the communities where we do business. It’s why 2004 was a breakthrough year for our company. We added 627,000 net new customers while retaining existing customers at rates that are superior to most of our competitors. Our service revenues reached a record high. We launched service in three new and highly competitive markets, further strengthening our market presence.
