Mosaic invests in the strength and vibrancy of our communities through corporate giving, The Mosaic Company Foundation and The Mosaic Institute in Brazil. Our focus is simple: food, water and local community investments.

In agricultural communities around the world, Mosaic's crop nutrients are part of the global drive to achieve greater crop yields, providing better income for farmers and reducing the pressure to clear for more cropland. Mosaic and our employees take great pride in the crop nutrients we produce and our focus on sustainability across our operations. From new product development and reclamation, to cogeneration and rigorous safety programs, Mosaic's focus on continuous improvement forms the roots of our success.

We are realizing some of our greatest performance improvements in the areas of energy and water use. In 2011, Mosaic produced enough electricity—approximately 6.9 million gigajoules through cogeneration—to satisfy 47 percent of our company-wide electrical demand. Over the last 20 years Mosaic's Central Florida operations have decreased groundwater use by more than 50 percent.

For three years running, Mosaic has met its goal of being included in Corporate Responsibility Magazine's annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking, one of the top social responsibility assessments for publicly traded U.S. companies.
