At Ameritrade, we are one company with one brand, two business units and a singular vision. Our focus is to provide investors with choice and customization to better define and reach their financial goals. Through our client segmentation strategy, the use of innovative technology, good execution and a strong brand, we have grown significantly and evolved into the present corporate structure. The result - we offer a meaningful client experience at a real value to investors and the institutions that serve them.

In 2001, Ameritrade took decisive steps to enhance our competitive advantages by unlocking the potential of the acquisitions and investments the Company has made in the past 27 years. We organized our subsidiaries, products and capabilities into two business units - a Private Client Division and an Institutional Client Division.


The Ameritrade Private Client Division:
Individual investors do not come in one size. Or with one set of needs. We have identified and developed around specific client segments in which our tools, information and choices match investor priorities.


The Ameritrade Institutional Client Division:
We intend to grow our account base and expand our revenues by targeting specific segments of the institutional space with relevant products tools and services, and by leveraging our core competencies of trade execution, technology and client service.
