Cymer continues to share our passion for science and technology with the younger generation. For the first time, Cymer was part of the week-long 2011 San Diego Science Festival. To kick off the week 80 children were hosted at our San Diego campus to learn about Cymer technology and how it impacts daily life. The week’s festivities concluded with Cymer joining other San Diego companies for EXPO Day at Petco Park. With more than 20,000 people in attendance, Cymer shared an educational technology exhibit with an enthusiastic stream of parents and children.

The first Cymer Digital Studio was opened in January at the Mission Valley YMCA to reach underserved youth from junior high to high school age. The new after-school program offers the latest hardware and software technology for graphic design, sound recording, broadcasting and digital media. The Cymer Digital Studio experience has helped many students improve grades, behavior and social skills through participation and mentoring. The digital studio is a safe environment and avenue of learning, encouraging students to aspire to future education and career opportunities.
