Cymer continued our biannual Employee E-cycle electronic recycling event this year at the San Diego site. Employees and their families were encouraged to responsibly recycle all their old and unwanted electronics. Keeping our landfills safer and lighter, Cymer collected over 11,000 pounds of e-waste during the year.

Cymer was the Premier Sponsor for the 6th consecutive year of the 2011 San Diego Zoo Food and Wine Celebration, formerly known as Celebration for the Critters. The event benefits endangered species around the world and Cymer's donation allows for continued support of the San Diego Zoo’s Institute for Conservation Research. Throughout our six-year partnership, the program has raised close to $2 million towards worldwide-animal preservation and research efforts.

Promoting environmental awareness, Cymer sponsored Balboa Park’s Earth Fair. Employees worked the event booth to show support for the efforts being made toward a greener San Diego, and shared with the public Cymer’s activities to minimize its own carbon footprint in the course of its day-to-day business.
